Student Access: Students access ReadReveal through room codes and do not need to provide personal information. We use anonymous tokens that do not identify individual students.
Reading Activity Data: We collect reading session data including accuracy scores, reading time, and quiz responses to provide educational insights. This data is associated with anonymous identifiers, not personal information.
Device and Usage Information: We automatically collect basic technical information such as device type, browser type, and general usage patterns to improve our service.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the ReadReveal service, including AI-generated illustrations and reading progress tracking.
- To authenticate teachers, parents, and administrators.
- To generate educational analytics and reports for teachers about class performance.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
ReadReveal is designed for use by children in grades K-8. We take special care to protect children's privacy.
We do not require children to provide personal information to use ReadReveal. Students access the platform through teacher-provided room codes.
We do not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent obtained through their school or teacher.
Teachers and schools act as agents of parents for COPPA consent purposes in educational settings.
Parents can contact us to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information.
5. Student Privacy (FERPA Compliance)
For schools using ReadReveal, we act as a "school official" under FERPA with legitimate educational interests.
We use student education records only for authorized educational purposes.
We do not disclose personally identifiable information from student education records without consent, except as permitted by FERPA.
Schools maintain control over student data and can request deletion at any time.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect student education records.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
