1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ReadReveal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. ReadReveal is an educational platform designed for students in grades K-8, their teachers, parents, and school administrators.
2. Description of Service
ReadReveal provides an interactive literacy platform where readers unlock AI-generated illustrations as they read, building fluency and confidence for K-8 students. Features include reading sessions with multiple input modes (Mic, Type, Tap), AI-powered comprehension quizzes, fluency scoring based on DIBELS and Hasbrouck-Tindal norms, and progress tracking for educators.
3. User Accounts
Teachers, parents, and administrators must create an account to access full features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Students access the platform through room codes provided by their teachers — no personal information is required from students. You must be at least 18 years old to create a teacher or administrator account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use ReadReveal only for lawful educational purposes. You will not attempt to circumvent any security features, upload content that is harmful or inappropriate for educational settings, or use the service to collect personal information from children without proper consent.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
ReadReveal and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Acclimt and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. User-generated content (such as custom passages) remains the property of the user, but you grant ReadReveal a license to use that content to provide the service. Illustrations are created for educational use, some powered by AI technology.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting children's privacy and comply with applicable laws including COPPA and FERPA. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
7. Subscription and Billing
Some features require a paid subscription. Billing terms are presented at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy and applicable law. Web subscriptions are billed through Stripe; mobile purchases go through RevenueCat.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
ReadReveal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Educational outcomes may vary based on individual student engagement and usage.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadReveal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
